A RAPIST is set to be brought to justice nearly 20 years after carrying out sex attacks, including one in Doncaster.
John Leeming appeared at Leeds Crown Court for sentencing after pleading guilty to indecent assault in Doncaster back in 1992 and rape a year later in Bradford.
The 49-year-old of Leeds was caught following a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police’s Operation Minerva and West Yorkshire Police’s Operation Recall cold case inquiry teams.
Leeming had previously admitted the crimes before he was due for sentencing last Monday.
His case was adjourned pending psychiatric reports. Leeming is due to appear again at Leeds Crown Court next March.
