DARFIELD Foulstone pupils consider themselves a happy bunch, since they got welcome pre-Christmas tidings of renewed school status.
The school was told it no longer required special measures, in time for plenty of celebration before the Christmas holidays.
Pupils shared their good news with residents of Thornhill House, when they held a carol concert there, then drama students staged a special school assembly that included songs from ‘Oliver’.
Next year the school will merge with Wombwell High to form a new ALC.
