NEW vehicles with snow tyres are to combat the cold weather and keep Barnsley Council tenants warm this winter.
Several 4X4 vehicles fitted with snow tyres will ensure gas and electric engineers can cope with poor road conditions.
A leaflet gives tenants useful advice on how to prevent pipes from freezing and how to heat their home if they are going away. Tenants are also advised to take out home insurance.
